In this project I coded an interactive map to help funders and changemakers explore and filter place-based initiatives in practice across the United States. The map features a population density layer as context information which I pre-rendered as an image from a TIFF data file.
Based on the concept and design by the leading agency Memaro, I used mainly D3.js and Preact to code this Webflow embed. The viewer can deep-dive into individual initiatives by exploring the detail view. This "action map" is also optimized for mobile usage.
Efforts to map successful community initiatives are ongoing, so the map will gradually show more community-based work.
